Your story, our pride

Understanding the TEF IRN

What level of French for the multi-year residence permit?

To obtain the multi-year residence permit, you must prove an A2 level in French (basic user) and pass thecivic exam. This level certifies your ability to understand simple sentences and communicate in everyday situations. The TEF IRN is one of the two tests recognised to validate it; discover our preparation rates. A2 is the first step before B1 level (resident card).
